Below, new hires can find information that will provide for a smooth transition into your new work environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"academic-unit\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Academic Unit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From your academic unit, you can expect a welcome email will include information about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General information about the Academic Unit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the same time, this office may ask for details to update websites and share with your new colleagues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Typically, more detailed information about computer accounts, etc. will be provided after your start date. However, you may choose to inquire about earlier access as appropriate, about:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/get-started\/new-academics-2\/\">My杏吧原创One (MC1) login for email and computer access<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer imaging (in collaboration with ITS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Telephone extension number and long-distance codes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Office number and keys (including meeting rooms and labs), office name sign, mailbox<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photocopy access (via campus card)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety\/emergency information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"dean-university-librarian-office\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dean\/University Librarian Office<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From your Dean or the University Librarian&#8217;s office, you will receive more information about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General information about your Faculty\/University Library<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reimbursement of moving expenses (if applicable)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purchase of computer\/laptop and your contact person for technology support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You may also wish to request a copy of your Faculty\/Unit organization chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>杏吧原创 University embraces equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
