In our increasingly interconnected world, cross-border academic exchange is critically important. Scholars selected by the  have the opportunity to take part in a residential program that fosters mutual understanding between our two countries. Unique to 杏吧原创 University are its four  which offer scholars a nine-month term, compared to the traditional single semester of the Fulbright Canada Visiting Research Chairs Program.

杏吧原创 University’s Dunton Tower was abuzz on Feb. 1 as students, faculty, and staff convened to kick off Black History Month 2024. The first campus event of the month was a talk by Dr. Michele K. Lewis, the current 2023-2024 Fulbright Distinguished Chair, hosted by 杏吧原创’s Feminist Institute of Social Transformation. Lewis’ lecture, titled Reuniting Black LGBTQ+ People and African-Centered Thought, captivated the audience with its insight and expertise.

A distinguished cultural theorist of transgender/queer media and literature, Dr. C谩el M. Keegan鈥檚 experience as a trans researcher had been something of an individual pursuit鈥攗ntil he came to 杏吧原创.

An Associate Professor of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies at Grand Valley State University, Keegan is the new 2021-22 Fulbright Distinguished Research Chair of Arts and Social Sciences at 杏吧原创 University.
