Event posts are used for listing events in chronological order, complete with information about when and where it is taking place, who is in charge of the event, and where you can get more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is an example of an event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step-By-Step<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Add an Event<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. <\/strong>From the dashboard, hover over Events,<\/strong> and click Add New<\/strong> in the lefthand navigation bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.<\/strong> Click Add <\/strong>a<\/strong> Title<\/strong> to give your event a name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.<\/strong> Click the arrow near the bottom right of the screen to edit Event Options.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here you can add details such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Start and end date<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Location<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Event cost<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Buttons for registration and other info<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Contact information <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Note that the start and end dates as well as location are required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4<\/strong>. Choose an image for your event. You can either choose from our presets or upload a custom image of your choosing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Add a preset image<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To add an image from our presets, click the Post Thumbnail <\/strong>tab and select from the dropdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Add a custom image<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Select Featured Image<\/strong> under block options at the right to add a custom image. Click Set Featured Image <\/strong>to upload a photo or choose one from your media library. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Note:<\/em><\/strong> Recommended size for featured image is 600 x 400 pixels<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. <\/strong>Like with a page, you can add other blocks<\/a>, such as a heading or paragraph, for more event information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7.<\/strong> Events can be pulled onto a page in the form of stacked listings<\/a> or cards<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
