They can be used for event registrations, contact requests, applications, surveys, feedback collection, and many other workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A well-designed form should be easy to complete, collect only the information you need, and provide a clear experience for the person submitting it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"when-to-use-a-form\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to Use a Form<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forms are particularly useful when you need to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collect registrations or applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gather feedback<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive inquiries or requests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct surveys<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect event information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow visitors to contact your department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before creating a form, consider what information is truly necessary. Shorter forms are generally easier to complete and often result in higher completion rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"creating-a-new-form\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating a New Form<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To create a new form:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From the Dashboard, select <strong>Forms<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>New Form<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Blank Form<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter a <strong>Form Title<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optionally add a <strong>Form Description<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Create Form<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your new form will open in the Form Editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"adding-fields\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding Fields<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forms are built using fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To add a field:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Locate the field library on the right side of the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click or drag a field into the form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Position it where you want it to appear.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Common field types include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Single Line Text<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paragraph Text<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Email<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Phone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dropdown<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Checkboxes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Radio Buttons<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>File Upload<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Choose fields that match the information you need to collect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"managing-fields\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Managing Fields<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selecting a field will display options to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Move<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duplicate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edit Settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delete<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This allows you to modify the structure of your form without rebuilding it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"field-settings\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Field Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each field can be customized using the available settings panels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on the field type, options may vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"general-settings\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">General Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Common options include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Field Label<\/strong><br>The name displayed to visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Description<\/strong><br>Additional instructions shown below the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Required Fields<\/strong><br>Require visitors to complete the field before submitting the form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>No Duplicates<\/strong><br>Prevent duplicate values from being entered into the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"appearance-settings\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Appearance Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Control how the field is displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Examples include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Small field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medium field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Large field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Appearance settings affect the visual presentation of the form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr values<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Custom CSS classes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Field visibility settings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These options are typically used for more advanced form configurations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"conditional-logic\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conditional Logic<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conditional Logic allows form elements to appear or disappear based on previous responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Question<\/strong><br>Are you attending the event?Show more lines<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the visitor selects <strong>Yes<\/strong>, additional registration questions appear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If they select <strong>No<\/strong>, those fields remain hidden.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conditional logic can make forms shorter and more user-friendly by displaying only relevant questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"form-design-best-practices\" necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Use Clear Labels<\/strong><br>Field labels should be easy to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p In this video, we will go over creating and editing forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forms are a way to get interactions from those who view your site. They let users enter information, which will then be sent to the site owner. This can be helpful for getting information for events, user contacts, and so much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To create a form, to go the sidebar, hover over \u201cForms\u201d, and click \u201cNew Form\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A new menu will pop up, so click on \u201cBlank Form\u201d, and enter a form title and description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have a title and description, click \u201cCreate Blank Form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll then be taken to an editing screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll see there are multiple fields you can add to your form. So, to add a field, either double-click it, or drag and drop into the main area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information for each specific field, you can visit the Gravity Forms documentation site, which can be accessed through the cutheme docs form page, or in the description of this video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have field in the form, you have 4 options right here, to move it around, duplicate it, open settings, or delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Field settings are on the right side of the page. There are 5 available settings: General, Appearance, Advanced, Perks, and Conditional Logic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">General features all the basic options, like a label, description, and whether or not you want it to be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Appearance focuses on how the field itself appears in your form.
