This course is offered in the fall, winter and summer terms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Winter 2025 Curatorial Studies Courses<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/grad\/gradprograms\/curatorialstudies\/#courseinventory\"><b>CURA 5001:<\/b><span class=\"x_Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/a><strong>Curatorial Studies Proseminar (0.5 credit)<br \/>\n<\/strong>This studio course is designed to develop curatorial skills through practical examination of art exhibition practices; site visits and workshops designed to help students develop curatorial skills and navigate the museum world. This course trains students in the core competencies of curatorial practice.. It will culminate in a group exhibition. Examples of previous study course exhibitions can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/curatorial-studies\/studio-courses\/\">here<\/a>. This course is offered in the fall, winter and summer terms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Cognate Courses<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please consult the graduate calendar <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/grad\/gradprograms\/curatorialstudies\/\">here<\/a> for a list of cognate courses. \u00a0Additional cognate courses will be considered with the permission of the Associate Director (see below). Please note that not all courses are available in a specific term.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Program Course Requirements:<\/h4>\n<p>The Graduate Diploma in Curatorial Studies is a 3.0 credit program composed of the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CURA 5000 (0.5 credit)<\/li>\n<li>CURA 5001 (0.5 credit) <em><strong>OR<\/strong><\/em> CURA 5002 (0.5 credit)<\/li>\n<li>One credit from CURA 5011 (0.5 credit) <strong><em>AND<\/em> <\/strong>CURA 5012 (0.5 credit)<\/li>\n<li>Cognate coursework (1.0 credits) may be selected from the list of courses found in the program description for Curatorial Studies found <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/grad\/gradprograms\/curatorialstudies\/#text\">here<\/a> and\/or additional cognate courses can be considered with the permission of the Associate Director <a href=\"&#109;&#x61;&#x69;l&#116;&#x6f;:&#77;&#x6f;&#x6e;&#105;&#x63;&#x61;P&#97;&#x74;t&#101;&#x72;&#x73;&#111;&#x6e;&#x40;c&#117;&#x6e;e&#116;&#x2e;&#x63;&#97;&#x72;&#x6c;e&#116;&#x6f;n&#46;&#x63;&#x61;\">Dr. Monica Patterson<\/a>.
