The is actively seeking an Indigenous person聽for a in the Department of Indigenous Studies for nomination as a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Indigenous Community-Engaged Scholarship. The selected candidate will be appointed to the Department of Indigenous Studies at an academic rank commensurate with experience.聽The ideal candidate will have a PhD, will be an exceptional emerging scholar with the capacity to attract competitively awarded research funding from a national granting agency, and will have experience in developing interdisciplinary research partnerships. The selected candidate will have an outstanding track record of research that exemplifies Indigenous community engagement, Indigenous research methodologies, and community-based action research that supports community social, political, environmental, economic, and/or cultural aspirations and goals, and makes meaningful contributions towards reconciliation between Indigenous and settler peoples.
