The fees paid by participating Co-op students cover the entire cost of delivering the Co-op Program. For this reason, fees charged in&nbsp;previous terms are non-refundable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Co-op Administration Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An administration fee charged for the&nbsp;<strong>current<\/strong>&nbsp;term will be refunded provided that the student has not committed to a work term and that withdrawal from the Co-op Program occurs by the term-specific deadlines below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The deadline to&nbsp;<strong>remove the Co-op option<\/strong>&nbsp;and receive a fall administration fee refund is&nbsp;<strong>September 30<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The deadline to&nbsp;<strong>remove the Co-op option<\/strong>&nbsp;and receive a winter administration fee refund is&nbsp;<strong>January 31<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The deadline to&nbsp;<strong>remove the Co-op option<\/strong>&nbsp;and receive a summer administration fee refund is&nbsp;<strong>May 31<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To withdraw from the Co-op Program, a student must complete a \u201cRequest to Remove Co-op Option\u201d form via mySuccess.&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/co-op\/forms\/how-to-access-co-op-forms-on-mysuccess\/\">Learn how to access mySuccess forms here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Co-op Work Term Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;<strong>non-refundable<\/strong>&nbsp;fee is charged each time a Co-op student secures a work term. This fee is applied regardless of whether the position is obtained via the Co-op Job Board or via a self-directed job search. Interest charges will begin to accrue on May 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u202fand based on the process where you remove any interest charges that are less than $2.00, we confirmed that if the student paid by May 12<sup>th<\/sup>, students who are only charged the work term fee should not be negatively impacted.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">How often does the fee increase? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last significant fee increase&nbsp;was&nbsp;in 2010.&nbsp;The fee&nbsp;remained&nbsp;at that level for the next eight years. Since&nbsp;2018,&nbsp;the fee has&nbsp;grown&nbsp;by an average of 3.5% each year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">What are Co-op fees changing? <\/strong><br>Co-op fees support all&nbsp;costs involved in running the program, and these costs are greater each year.
