The purpose of the Co-op Participation Agreement is to balance the needs and interests of Co-op students, the Co-op Program, and Co-op employers. Questions about the terms of this agreement should be directed to Co-operative Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"students-in-violation-of-the-co-op-participation-agreement\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">STUDENTS IN VIOLATION OF THE CO-OP PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who violate the Co-op Participation Agreement will be subject to sanctions, up to and including removal from the Co-operative Education Program. Sanctions are determined by the Co-operative Education Management Team and will be applied based on the nature and severity of the violation. I understand that I will receive written confirmation of the sanction after a decision is made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"conditions-of-participation-in-co-operative-education\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN CO-OPERATIVE EDUCATION:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"w-screen px-6 cu-section cu-section--white ml-offset-center md:px-8 lg:px-14\">\n    <div class=\"space-y-6 cu-max-w-child-5xl  md:space-y-10 cu-prose-first-last\">\n\n        \n    \n    <dl class=\"cu-description cu-component-updated\">\n        \n    <div class=\"grid pt-4 pb-3 border-b accordion border-cu-black-100 md:pt-6 md:pb-5 first:border-t\">\n        <dt class=\"font-semibold not-prose\">\n            <button class=\"flex items-center justify-between w-full text-left accordion__button\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"accordion-eligibility\">\n                <span class=\"flex-1 ml-auto text-left break-words whitespace-normal cu-icon\">\n                    <strong>Eligibility<\/strong>\n                <\/span>\n                <svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" fill=\"none\" viewbox=\"0 0 24 24\" stroke-width=\"1.5\" stroke=\"currentColor\" aria-hidden=\"true\" data-slot=\"icon\" class=\"w-5 h-5 ml-auto transition-transform rotate-0 accordion__icon text-cu-black-500\">\n                    <path stroke-linecap=\"round\" stroke-linejoin=\"round\" d=\"M8.25 4.5l7.5 7.5-7.5 7.5\"><\/path>\n                <\/svg>\n            <\/button>\n        <\/dt>\n        <dd class=\"p-0 mt-0 cu-prose cu-prose-first-last accordion__content md:p-0 md:mt-0\" hidden=\"\" id=\"accordion-eligibility\">\n            \n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I must meet and maintain all academic requirements as outlined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/grad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Graduate Calendar<\/a>&nbsp;in order to be eligible to participate in the Co-operative Education Program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I must maintain enrolment in a <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/co-op\/eligibility\/graduate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Co-op-eligible degree program<\/a>. Any changes to my degree program must be communicated to, and approved by, the Co-operative Education Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I must maintain full-time status in each academic term prior to a Co-op Work Term.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I must be within my timeline to graduate (and not on an academic extension).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I must have a minimum of 0.5 credits remaining to complete following my final Co-op Work Term. I may graduate concurrently while completing my final work term if I receive approval from the Co-op Office and my academic department.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I must successfully complete two Co-op Work Terms, as outlined in my program\u2019s Co-op option, in order to graduate with the Co-op Designation on my degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I understand that the duration and timing of my work terms cannot be altered to accommodate international academic exchanges where the start\/finish dates of terms differ from those at 杏吧原创 University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I am legally eligible to work in Canada, and acknowledge that I will require a valid Co-op Work Permit if I am attending 杏吧原创 University on a study permit. If supplementary documentation is required (for example, a criminal record check), I will be responsible for any related costs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I am responsible for obtaining and\/or completing any and all required documentation to undertake an international Co-op Work Term, including (but not limited to) a work visa\/permit and workplace insurance coverage. International Co-op Work Terms are subject to review and approval by 杏吧原创 University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I understand that if I am granted conditional admission to the Co-op Program, a final departmental review of my grades and course registration will be required. I understand that work term fees are non-refundable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regardless of whether my work term is secured through the Co-op Job Board or through a self-directed search, I am responsible for paying the applicable work term fees.
