This video is part of our series on forms, and will cover form confirmations.<\/p>\n<p>From your form, navigate to confirmations by hovering over <strong>Settings<\/strong> and clicking <strong>Confirmations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You can either edit the default confirmation or click <strong>Add New<\/strong> to create a new confirmation. We\u2019ll be editing the default confirmation for this video.<\/p>\n<p>For the confirmation, you have the choice to either have a message display after the form has been submitted, or to redirect the user to an internal or external page.<\/p>\n<p>To redirect the user, you can either select <strong>Page<\/strong> and choose an internal page from the dropdown, or select <strong>Redirect<\/strong> and paste in a URL.<\/p>\n<p>To display a message, set <strong>Confirmation Type<\/strong> to <strong>Text<\/strong> and compose your message using the content editor. You have access here to features like Add Media, insert hyperlinks, or post elements, if you wish to use them.<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019re done customizing your confirmation, click <strong>Save Confirmation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have created multiple form confirmations, make sure the correct one is toggled on, using the <strong>Active \/ Inactive<\/strong> toggle next to the confirmation name. This practice activity requires you to have already created a form. If you do not know how to do that, you can return to <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cms-help\/advanced-training\/module-4-forms\/creating-and-editing-forms\/#try\">the previous training exercise<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open your test form and navigate to confirmations.<\/li>\n<li>Edit the default confirmation and change the message to something that fits your form.
