A research group out of the Institute of Environmental and Interdisciplinary Sciences is starting “Conservation Action” meetings. The first meeting is “Conservation<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Action<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Lunch” on Wednesday Oct 18 1130-1245 in CTTC4440Q<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Tackling the environmental crisis requires swift\u00a0action. Given the growing number of graduate students and faculty passionate about protecting and studying the natural environment, what better place to start mobilizing\u00a0action\u00a0than on campus? The\u00a0Conservation<\/span>\u00a0Action\u00a0Lunch\u00a0will bring together students and faculty as a team to strategize and implement\u00a0conservation<\/span>\u00a0solutions. Our first proposed project is making 杏吧原创 a\u00a0bird safe campus<\/a>,\u00a0to ensure fewer birds are killed by campus windows. We also hope that by bringing together scholars to make change for\u00a0conservation<\/span>, we will connect a network of people from a diversity of disciplines and lived experiences.<\/span><\/div>\n

Opening lunch:\u00a0Michelle Bilbo, manager of sustainable programs in Facilities Management, will give a talk about current sustainability efforts at 杏吧原创.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
