DATE: Thursday, February 29, 9am PT | 12pm ET | 5pm BT | 6pm CET

The Ecopsychepedia (“EcoPsy”) is a free, public, online information source on climate psychology and its mental health implications, created by an international group of mental health professionals and climate communication experts. EcoPsy will enable healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, policy-makers, students of all ages, community leaders, and general readers to learn more and share knowledge about how the ecological(eco), the psychological(psyche), and societies impact one another – and, critically, how we can respond. Please join us for this 45-minute presentation of what the EcoPsy is and how to use it and help it grow. The event is co-hosted by the Climate Psychiatry Alliance and Climate Psychology Alliance of North America.

Climate Change Resiliency Toolkit for Health Care /climatecommons/2015/climate-change-resiliency-toolkit-for-health-care/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=climate-change-resiliency-toolkit-for-health-care Sat, 03 Oct 2015 19:52:54 +0000 https://climatecommonsblog.wordpress.com/?p=106

The Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care has developed a climate change resiliency toolkit for healthcare facilities. The toolkit is healthcare specific but could easily be adapted to other institutional environments.

The Climate Change Resiliency web pages are here:

To access the toolkit you need to sign on. Click on Register here on this page and sign on with the info requested:

The toolkit is an online set of questions, which when completed will provide you a score for how resilient your facility is. Many hospitals across the Americas are using an assessment process to help determine how resilient their facilities are. It is a process that is complimentary to Emergency Management Assessments, but takes a climate change focus.
