The purpose is to provide seed funding that will encourage the development of innovative, globally-focused research initiatives and lay the foundation for long-term international partnerships. Awards will support the development of new global academic research linkages leading to international collaborative funding proposals and projects.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>All full-time faculty of professorial rank (Assistant, Associate, Full).<\/li>\n<li>Applications from Adjunct Research Professors will be considered in exceptional cases.<\/li>\n<li>Each application should describe a single project; applications that include more than one project will be returned.<\/li>\n<li>Five award recipients will be chosen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Funding Available<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Maximum amount: CAD$6,000<\/li>\n<li>Project duration: A maximum of 12 months.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligible expenses include travel costs for 杏吧原创 and\/or international partner institutional personnel, including research, meetings, and communications costs or other costs associated with partnership development; expenses associated with the development of funding proposals in collaboration with the international partner(s).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ineligible expenses include ongoing operations, capital equipment, administration of personnel costs of existing projects or initiatives; costs for initiatives that have alternative sources of funding; teaching releases; and expenses (such as travel and administration) on behalf of other Canadian universities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications to fund existing projects with established international partners are ineligible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/curo\/wp-content\/uploads\/Intl-Research-Seed-Grant-Guidelines-Application-Form-2016.docx\" rel=\"\">APPLICATION FORM<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>**Internal process<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0<strong>New <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CURO has replaced the pdf CURO checklist with an online approval process through <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/curo\/curesearch\/curesearch-instructions\/\" target=\"_blank\">cuResearch<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Applications will be submitted via the newly launched <a href=\"https:\/\/curoresearch.carleton.ca\/Romeo.Researcher\/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fROMEO.Researcher%2fdefault.aspx\" target=\"_blank\"><em>cuResearch<\/em> Portal<\/a> , through which Departmental and Associate Dean\u2019s approval must be provided to complete the online application process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to access cuResearch?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Log in at the <a href=\"https:\/\/curoresearch.carleton.ca\/Romeo.Researcher\/Login.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">cuResearch Researcher Portal<\/a> homepage using your My杏吧原创One credentials. <em>If this is not working, contact <\/em><a href=\"mailto:&#x63;u&#114;&#x65;s&#101;&#x61;r&#099;&#x68;&#064;&#099;&#x75;n&#101;&#x74;.&#099;&#x61;r&#108;&#x65;t&#111;&#x6e;.&#x63;&#x61;\" target=\"_blank\"><em>cuResearch support<\/em><\/a><em> for registration. <\/em>Follow the external funding application instructions here: <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/curo\/wp-content\/uploads\/Accessing-cuResearch_may2015.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Accessing cuResearch<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Deadlines<\/h3>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"153\"><strong>Full application:<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"105\"><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"153\">CURO Internal Deadline<\/td>\n<td width=\"105\">March 29, 2016<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3>Internal Contacts<\/h3>\n<p>If you would like assistance with proposal development and\/or a substantive review of your proposal, please contact the appropriate <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/curo\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\">Research Facilitator<\/a> or your 杏吧原创 International representative <a href=\"mailto:&#x67;a&#x62;&#114;i&#x65;l&#x61;&#046;m&#x6f;r&#x65;n&#x6f;&#x40;c&#x61;r&#x6c;&#101;t&#x6f;n&#x2e;&#099;a\" target=\"_blank\">Gabriela Moreno<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Background and Opportunity The International Research Seed Grants are designed to enable researchers to create new international research partnerships.
