The Government of the Republic of Korea, through the\u00a0National Institute for International Education Development (NIIED)<\/a>, has launched its scholarship competition for Canadian students and researchers. Up to three scholarships are offered for study or research at the Master\u2019s or PhD level in Korean studies, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and other fields of study.<\/strong> The Foreign Government Awards \u2013 Korea are tenable from September 1, 2016.<\/p>\n

To be considered for a scholarship under the Foreign Government Awards-Korea program, an applicant will need to complete the following two-step process:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Complete and submit the online application form of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD),<\/a> and provide the supporting documents as requested.<\/li>\n
  2. Complete and submit theKorean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) for Graduate Students<\/a>\u00a0application and provide the supporting documents as\u00a0requested. This application will be used in the final selection process and must be submitted in English.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The deadline to submit an application is\u00a0March 17, 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
