Background<\/b><\/p>\n

The Canada-China Scholars\u2019 Exchange Program (CCSEP) is based on reciprocal agreements between the Government of Canada and the Government of the People\u2019s Republic of China.<\/p>\n

A number of short-term non-degree-seeking awards are offered to Canadian academics, students and professionals who wish to study and\/or do research in subject areas related to China at participating\u00a0Chinese institutions<\/a>. Scholarships are available for studies and research, for a combination of studies and language studies or for language studies only.<\/p>\n

Opportunity<\/b><\/p>\n

Scholarships are available for studies and research, a combination of studies and language studies or for language studies only. Each award is tenable for a period of no more than 12 months and no less than 4 months for students or no less than 8 weeks in the case of midcareer professionals, teaching and research staff.<\/p>\n

The scholarship is tenable between September 2014 and August 2015.<\/p>\n

Applications will be assessed on the applicant’s academic merit and proposed research plan. Professionals must demonstrate strong leadership qualities through a commitment to innovation, creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit. Preference will be given to those candidates whose research is related to China.<\/p>\n
