{"id":23116,"date":"2022-01-27T11:57:32","date_gmt":"2022-01-27T16:57:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/ci\/?p=23116"},"modified":"2022-01-27T11:57:32","modified_gmt":"2022-01-27T16:57:32","slug":"canada-caricom-faculty-leadership-program-2022-23","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/ci\/2022\/canada-caricom-faculty-leadership-program-2022-23\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada-CARICOM Faculty Leadership Program 2022-23"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Canada-CARICOM Faculty Leadership Program provides faculty or international liaison officers\/managers from post-secondary institutions located in the CARICOM member and associate member states with short-term exchange opportunities for professional development, graduate study or research at Canadian post-secondary institutions.<\/p>\n<p>For more details on eligibility and application requirements, please visit the program description at EduCanada: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educanada.ca\/scholarships-bourses\/can\/institutions\/flpp-pplpe.aspx?lang=eng\">Canada-CARICOM Faculty Leadership Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>Candidates must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>citizens of one of the CARICOM member and associate member states:\n<ul>\n<li>Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turks and Caicos; and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>employed full-time as faculty or international liaison officers\/managers at a post-secondary institution in the eligible countries\/territories at the time of application and for the entire duration of their stay in Canada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates are not eligible:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>if they hold or have a pending application for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency;<\/li>\n<li>if they are already participating in a scholarship program funded by the Government of Canada; or<\/li>\n<li>if they are already enrolled in a degree, diploma or certificate program at a Canadian post-secondary institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Value and Duration<\/h3>\n<p>Scholarship values vary depending on the duration of stay in Canada:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CAD 3,200 for faculty members for two to three weeks of course work or research as part of their professional development;<\/li>\n<li>CAD 3,200 for international directors, managers or administrators for two to three weeks of course work or practicum in the area of internationalization or student mobility as part of their professional development; or<\/li>\n<li>CAD 11,100 for faculty members for five to six months of study or research at the graduate level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Deadlines<\/h3>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 65.8676%;
