This is the final and largest ever package of FP7 calls. Of particular interest to Canadian researchers are the calls opened in Cooperation and People.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cooperation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Health (2 calls) &#8211; closing Sept, Oct 2012<\/li>\n<li>Food, Agriculture, Fisheries and Biotechnologies (3 calls) &#8211; closing Feb 2013<\/li>\n<li>ICT (8 calls) &#8211; closing Oct, Dec 2012 and Jan 2013<\/li>\n<li>Nanosciences (11 calls) &#8211; closing Oct, Dec 2012 and Feb 2013<\/li>\n<li>Energy (6 calls) &#8211; closing Dec 2012, Jan, Feb 2013<\/li>\n<li>Environment (6) &#8211; closing Oct, Dec 2012, Feb, April 2013<\/li>\n<li>Transport (8) &#8211; closing Nov 2012, Feb, Mar 2013<\/li>\n<li>Social sciences and Humanities (3) &#8211; closing Jan, Feb 2013<\/li>\n<li>Space (1) &#8211; closing Nov 2012<\/li>\n<li>Security (1) &#8211; closing Nov 2012<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>People<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initial Training Network &#8211; closing Nov 2012<\/li>\n<li>International Research Staff Exchange Scheme &#8211; closing Jan 2013<\/li>\n<li>International Incoming Fellowship (opened in March) &#8211; closing Aug 2012<\/li>\n<li>International Outgoing Fellowship &#8211; (opened in March) &#8211; closing Aug 2012<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The COOPERATION Programme supports proposals from multi-national, multi-sectoral consortia. Each proposal must include a minimum of three partners from three different European Member States or Associated Countries.<\/p>\n<p>Canadian researchers are eligible to participate in these proposals on a self-funded basis. In exceptional circumstances, if the proposal can successfully make the case that a Canadian partner\u2019s participation is both essential to the project\u2019s success and that it represents a unique expertise not available in Europe, Canadians may also be eligible to receive funding directly from the European Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Some calls for proposals are also specifically <a href=\"http:\/\/www.era-can.ca\/en\/Calls-For-Proposals_41\">targeted to Canadians<\/a>. Although Canadians may participate in any project, these calls especially encourage the participation of Canadian partners.
