{"id":13395,"date":"2017-04-18T09:30:02","date_gmt":"2017-04-18T13:30:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/curo\/2017\/marie-sklowdowska-curie-individual-fellowships-2\/"},"modified":"2017-04-25T09:31:28","modified_gmt":"2017-04-25T13:31:28","slug":"marie-sklowdowska-curie-individual-fellowships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/ci\/2017\/marie-sklowdowska-curie-individual-fellowships\/","title":{"rendered":"Marie Sklowdowska-Curie Individual Fellowships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The goal of the Individual Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers, wishing to diversify their individual competence in terms of skill acquisition through advanced training, international and intersectoral mobility.<\/p>\n<p>Individual Fellowships provide opportunities to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research and innovation in a European context (EU Member States and Associated Countries) or outside Europe. The scheme particularly supports the return and reintegration of researchers from outside Europe who have previously worked here. It also develops or helps to restart the careers of individual researchers that show great potential, considering their experience.<\/p>\n<h3>Opportunity<\/h3>\n<p>There are two types of Individual Fellowships:<\/p>\n<h4>European Fellowships<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Held in the <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/data\/ref\/h2020\/wp\/2014_2015\/annexes\/h2020-wp1415-annex-a-countries-rules_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">EU or associated countries<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Open to researchers either coming to Europe or moving within Europe.<\/li>\n<li>Can help to restart research careers after a break such as parental leave.<\/li>\n<li>Can also help reintegrate researchers coming back to Europe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>Global Fellowships<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Fund secondments outside Europe for researchers based in the <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/data\/ref\/h2020\/wp\/2014_2015\/annexes\/h2020-wp1415-annex-a-countries-rules_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">EU or associated countries<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>There is a mandatory one-year return period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>European and Global Fellowships can also include a <b>secondment period<\/b> of up to 3 or 6 months in another organisation in Europe, where this would boost the impact of the fellowship.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This action is meant to support the <b>best, most promising individual researchers\u00a0<\/b>from anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Only <b>experienced researchers<\/b> can apply. This means you will have your doctoral degree or at least four years\u2019 full-time research experience by the time of the call deadline.<\/p>\n<h3>Funding Available<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Maximum amount: The grant provides an <b>allowance to cover your living, travel and family costs<\/b>. The grant is awarded to your host organisation, usually a university, research centre or a company in Europe.
