The European Commission has launched calls for proposals for Marie Curie Individual Fellowships, which support the training and career development of researchers. Marie Curie Individual Fellowships are aimed at experienced researchers with more than four years\u2019 research experience and\/or a PhD and cover all areas of research, including the socio-economic sciences and humanities. The researcher and the host institution jointly submit a proposal for a research project on a topic of their choice.<\/p>\n
Overview: In FP7, Marie Curie Actions have been regrouped in the PEOPLE program. The “Marie Curie brochure<\/a>” provides an overall introduction to the Marie Curie Actions. With the Marie Curie Actions, PEOPLE aims to increase the trans-national mobility of researchers.<\/p>\n Incoming International Fellowships (IIF)<\/strong> – These fellowships are aimed at researchers (typically more senior) of any nationality, who have been research active in a third country (i.e. outside Europe). The researcher must move from a third country to a host institution in Europe for a period of 1-2 years.<\/p>\n Call identifier FP7-PEOPLE-2012-IIF. For more information click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowships for Career Development (IOF)<\/strong> – Aimed at researchers who are European nationals or have resided in Europe for at least 5 years prior to the deadline. Enables them to work in a research organisation in a third country (i.e. outside Europe) for a period of 1-2 years with a mandatory return phase of one year in Europe.<\/p>\n Call identifier FP7-PEOPLE-2012-IOF.
