{"id":12916,"date":"2016-12-14T20:32:01","date_gmt":"2016-12-15T01:32:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/curo\/2016\/ontario-jiangsu-industrial-research-and-development-program-ojirdp\/"},"modified":"2017-03-03T08:34:52","modified_gmt":"2017-03-03T13:34:52","slug":"ontario-jiangsu-industrial-research-and-development-program-ojirdp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/ci\/2016\/ontario-jiangsu-industrial-research-and-development-program-ojirdp\/","title":{"rendered":"Ontario-Jiangsu Industrial Research and Development Program (OJIRDP)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/r20.rs6.net\/tn.jsp?f=001igqn9JUmpHSR-x39jlo8LrTIXDS-sKxCiNsa_GEJWyRyt_8MkISqK11WTkbHZBDX9RESZ4iSExMVIPGN8kILDFw4hTNi9zn5tQP2IKEKDukN85PwOe2nJf5dd4G9_FsTh6nEbrs5zCyJQQO-eAEHrA7eYQISRwHVL1wldVqYLGfUd-2Bv-uxV0xnq64qwWdsMwzjp_PhJj7yTNRSiZ_OtqL3f41lrHUwXednakAftPV9CgZiaC5p1ZbS0y41iZOP-f67gC_dyd2qVdSkfbEQo9_22tpCPP8Vi1SjV6PJtG0g6SBsq6YLu5CxfLUlaS8shyT9fPa4hu9M34yMkCuX4tXdawfhqnPD&amp;c=ZdUg-My88YUep4_PDsvDsI4Q_ZVMMhm-xbVBCKwsoiu3_CyGLBRR-Q==&amp;ch=KzjZrr3juCSEGZ6riFpTi5bvRZA3sVHfq-VbJAQvzqmyjxj8991lAQ==\"><strong>Ontario-Jiangsu Industrial Research and Development Program (OJIRDP)<\/strong><\/a> will support joint industrial R&amp;D projects focusing on the development of products or processes that lead to commercial success and socio-economic benefits for both jurisdictions.\u00a0 This is a partnership of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Department (JSTD), the Ontario Ministry of Research, Innovation and Science (MRIS), and Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE), which will administer OJIRDP on behalf of MRIS.<\/p>\n<h3>Opportunity<\/h3>\n<p>The current call for proposals will accept project applications focusing on all <strong>technology sectors, including clean tech, communications, internet, IT and enterprise software, life sciences, semiconductors, new materials, intelligent manufacturing and miscellaneous technologies<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>Funding is open, on a competitive basis, to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In Ontario: <\/strong>R&amp;D performing companies, universities, colleges or research institutions operating in Ontario.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In Ji<\/strong><strong>an<\/strong><strong>gsu: <\/strong>Eligible applicants are R&amp;D performing Jiangsu registered companies operating in Jiangsu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Criteria<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>At least one science and technology (S&amp;T) company from Jiangsu and one S&amp;T organization from Ontario should express a desire to cooperate in the research and development of a new product or a new process.<\/li>\n<li>The project may involve more than one company\/organization from each side. In Jiangsu, academic\/research entities are eligible to join as sub-contractors only.<\/li>\n<li>The proposed product\/process should be highly innovative with significant commercial potential. The joint industrial R&amp;D project should aim at the development of products\/processes leading to commercialization in global markets.<\/li>\n<li>The project applicants should agree in advance on the IP rights and on the commercialization strategy of the product or process through signing a Letter of Intent (LOI) for cooperation. For the submission phase, only an LOI for cooperation in a preliminary agreement or a draft memorandum of understanding format is required.
