The RCC\u2019s fellowship program is designed to bring together excellent scholars who are working in environmental history and related disciplines.<\/p>\n<h3>Opportunity<\/h3>\n<p>The center will award fellowships to scholars from a variety of countries and disciplines. Applicants\u2019 research and writing should pertain to the central theme of the RCC\u2014transformations in environment and society. Research at the RCC is concerned with questions of the interrelationship between environmental and social changes, and in particular the reasons\u2014social, political, cultural, and environmental factors\u2014for these transformations.<\/p>\n<p>The RCC awards five types of fellowships:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carson Writing Fellowships<\/li>\n<li>Interdisciplinary Writing Fellowships<\/li>\n<li>Outreach Fellowships<\/li>\n<li>Short-term Fellowships<\/li>\n<li>Alumni Fellowships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>Please note that in order to be eligible for all fellowships except the outreach fellowships, you must have completed your doctorate by the application deadline (31 January 2017).
