This supports multidisciplinary and transnational information and communication sciences and technologies research with the potential to lead to significant breakthroughs. Proposals may address one of the following topics: lifelong learning for intelligent systems, or visual analytics for decision making under uncertainty.<\/p>\n<h3>Opportunity<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Topic 1: <strong>Lifelong Learning for Intelligent Systems<\/strong> (LLIS)<\/li>\n<li>Topic 2: <strong>Visual Analytics for Decision-Making under Uncertainty<\/strong> (VADMU)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>CHIST-ERA is a hybrid funding instrument. Proposals are submitted by international consortia with partners (research groups) from multiple countries. The call as well as the proposal evaluation and selection are international. Funding is then provided by participating funding organizations directly to the selected consortium partners.<\/p>\n<p>Each partner is directed by a principal investigator (PI), who interacts with the funding organization.
