The next Shannon lecture, co-sponsored by the Department of Health Sciences, will be given on November 18\u00a0by Professor Maureen Lux who will talk about\u00a0the history of the\u00a0treatment of indigenous peoples\u00a0in the Canadian healthcare system after 1945.\u00a0Maureen Lux teaches history at Brock University. \u00a0Her latest book,\u00a0<\/span>Separate Beds: A History of Indian Hospitals in Canada, 1920s to 1980s<\/i>\u00a0was published earlier this year and she is currently collaborating on a book about reproductive politics in 1970s Canada.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
