Stemming from the panel’s聽analysis, the聽International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) today released聽a stating the evidence and conclusions reached by the panel. The panel concluded that mycotoxins (commonly found in staple foods in developing countries) are not only a cause of acute poisoning and cancer but are also a likely contributor to the high levels of stunting in children in affected populations.
