Your comment highlights exactly what I think is so interesting about oxytocin. Up until a few years ago, it would have been very difficult to find an article suggesting that oxytocin may have negative consequences. And now there are new reports coming out, what seems to be monthly, displaying the ‘darker side of oxytocin.’ Although it is recognized that there are still many beneficial aspect of oxytocin, we are now understanding that the oxytocin story is far from figured out!
