“Reassessing Economic Security: The EU鈥檚 Strategy, Transatlantic Challenges, and Opportunities for Canada-EU Cooperation”

The workshop will explore the European Union鈥檚 (EU) economic security priorities in a rapidly evolving global and transatlantic context, and will feature discussions on these key themes:

  1. The EU鈥檚 Economic Security Strategy: what it is, why it was developed, how it has performed to date, and how does it need to adapt to U.S. economic and security threats?
  2. Canada-EU Cooperation: how can and should both partners work together to enhance their shared economic security in light of Trump鈥檚 return to the White House?
