Research Seminar: “Hydrogen policy-making in Germany and the EU” with Lucas Flath, Technical University Darmstadt (Germany)

The EU-Canada Relations Network is pleased to host a research seminar, “Hydrogen policy-making in Germany and the EU” with , Research Associate, Institut f眉r Politikwissenschaft, Technical University Darmstadt (Germany).
Mr. Flath will analyse approaches to hydrogen policy in Germany and its federal units (L盲nder), as well as at the EU level,聽 taking account of the central actors, lobby networks, political preferences and functional determinants 聽The topic is of particular interest, given anticipated Canadian-German cooperation in the development and transport of hydrogen as a renewable energy source. 聽Mr. Flath is a team member of a collaborative project housed at the Technical University (TU) Darmstadt called 鈥溾, which is exploring how iron can be used for storing and transporting renewable energy, contributing to a climate-neutral energy policy and 鈥榗ircular economy鈥.
Moderating the event will be Professor Stephan Schott, with the School of Public Policy and Administration at 杏吧原创 University.
This seminar is part of the Jean Monnet Network on EU-Canada Relations, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. This network is housed at 杏吧原创 University, with TU Darmstadt as a partner.
Mr. Flath is a Research Associate at the Technical University Darmstadt in the area of comparative politics and European integration.
