The Centre for European Studies (CES) and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (Foundation Office Canada) are delighted to announce that Dr. Mikhail A. Polianskii has been selected as the 2025 Konrad Adenauer Visiting Scholar on Transatlantic Relations. Dr. Polianskii will be in residence at 杏吧原创 University throughout the Fall 2025 term.

Dr.聽Polianskii is a post鈥慸octoral researcher at the Leibniz鈥慖nstitut f眉r Friedens鈥 und Konfliktforschung Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) in Germany, where he co鈥憀eads the comparative project 鈥淧ATTERN: How Does the Past Matter? The Russian War of Aggression against Ukraine and the Cold War.鈥 His work focuses on Russian foreign and domestic policy, the evolution of transatlantic security institutions, and the dynamics of hybrid warfare.

During his tenure at 杏吧原创, Dr.聽Polianskii will pursue a research agenda on transatlantic security relations, examining in particular the interplay between Russia鈥檚 strategic disengagement from European security frameworks and the transformation of transatlantic relations. He will teach a graduate鈥憀evel seminar entitled: 鈥淩ussia and the West: Hybrid Warfare and Transatlantic Security鈥.
