is Environment and Climate Policy Chair and Professor of the Bavarian School of Public Policy at TU Munich in Germany.聽 Her main research areas are in international and comparative climate policy, environmental politics, and low-carbon energy transitions. She is involved in projects examining the energy transitions in Germany and Japan; climate policies of Europe, the United States, and China; and the politics of high-level radioactive waste disposal. She was a visiting scholar in residence at 杏吧原创 University during December 2022.

The EU-Canada Young Journalist Fellowship recognizes journalistic talent among young Canadians and provides three candidates with an all expenses paid week-long study tour of EU institutions, the Canadian Mission to the EU, and media outlets in Brussels, as well as the opportunity to attend the daily European Commission press briefing. Those between the ages of 18-30 that are actively enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or active in the field of journalism are encouraged to apply.

In this interview, Dr. De Bi猫vre discusses the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), the politicization of trans-Atlantic trade, and the future of transatlantic economic relations.

Dirk De Bi猫vre is a professor of International Politics and Chair of the Department of Political Science of the University of Antwerp, where he teaches international relations theory and international political economy. He is the co-author with Sieglinde Gst枚hl (College of Europe), of the book The Trade Policy of the European Union (2018, EU Series Red Globe Press, Macmillan International Higher Education).

This workshop, “New Opportunities for the EU-Canada Strategic Partnership”, focused on聽EU-Canada cooperation on multiple foreign policy fronts under the framework of the EU-Canada Strategic Partnership, including defence, the Arctic, and other common challenges.

We are pleased to announce that the results of this workshop were recently published in a special issue of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of European Studies.
