You can log in to Brightspace by visiting\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brightspace.carleton.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">brightspace.carleton.ca<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0using your MC1 credentials.<\/p>\n<p>Brightspace development courses (or &#8220;sandboxes&#8221;) have automatically been created for all 杏吧原创 instructors.\u00a0Many summer course shells have also been added so that you can begin adding course materials if applicable.<\/p>\n<p>Brightspace\u00a0will replace\u00a0cuLearn\u00a0as 杏吧原创&#8217;s Learning Management System (LMS)\u00a0in May 2021. It&#8217;s faster and more reliable and it features a clean, modern design with new ways to help students succeed.<\/p>\n<p>As you begin\u00a0exploring Brightspace, please keep the following considerations in mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Most\u00a0cuLearn\u00a0content\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0migrated for\u00a0instructors:<\/strong>\u00a0To date, more than three years&#8217; worth of course content has already been\u00a0migrated from\u00a0cuLearn\u00a0into Brightspace. By June 1, five years of content will have been transferred. If you have taught a course using\u00a0cuLearn\u00a0within the past few years, your content will be migrated for you and available for review in Brightspace.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Instructor support is\u00a0available for\u00a0migrated\u00a0content:\u00a0<\/strong>Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) has created a new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/instructors\/\">Brightspace Instructor Support site<\/a>\u00a0and D2L provides 24\/7\/365 technical\u00a0support via phone, chat or email.\u00a0TLS staff are also available to help you find solutions to your course needs.\u00a0If you need support, please complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/migration\/#requestform\">Brightspace course consultation request form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>cuLearn\u00a0access\u00a0will\u00a0continue\u00a0throughout 2021:<\/strong>\u00a0Instructors, students and staff will be able to access\u00a0data, content and files from\u00a0cuLearn\u00a0throughout\u00a0the summer and\u00a0fall terms\u00a0using the\u00a0regular\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/culearn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cuLearn\u00a0login portal<\/a>; however, no new users or courses will be added past\u00a0May 2021.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Migrated content should be reviewed and may need clean up:<\/strong> Plan to evaluate your migrated content. It may make sense to start fresh or\u00a0to\u00a0bring in selected course elements, rather than reusing and revising your existing content. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/instructors\/culearn-moodle-to-brightspace-tool-crosswalk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cuLearn\u00a0(Moodle) to Brightspace Tool Crosswalk<\/a> can help guide your content review. The crosswalk features\u00a0tool equivalencies, common issues and solutions to migration challenges.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Training is available:<\/strong>\u00a0TLS is\u00a0hosting\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/edc\/events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brightspace training workshops<\/a>\u00a0online throughout February and\u00a0beyond to help you get started in the new LMS.
