You can import\u00a0<\/span><\/span>an entire cuLearn <\/span><\/span>course\u00a0<\/span><\/span>or select specific course <\/span><\/span>content to upload to<\/span><\/span> D2L Brightspace<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>By bulk i<\/span><\/span>mporting<\/span><\/span> your course content, you<\/span><\/span> avoid having to <\/span><\/span>m<\/span><\/span>anually<\/span><\/span> re-upload or <\/span><\/span>recreate files<\/span><\/span> in Brightspace<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> It is important to always review the formatting of imported course files<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To import cuLearn content into Brightspace:<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

  1. Export cuLearn content to a backup file on your computer<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Import your backup cuLearn file into Brightspace<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

    <\/a>Export<\/span><\/span>ing<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>cuLearn<\/span><\/span>\u00a0content to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>backup file<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on your computer<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    1. Log in to cuLearn using your\u00a0My杏吧原创One<\/em>\u00a0credentials.<\/li>\n
    2. Click on your course link.<\/li>\n
    3. Click on the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Settings Gear<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0on the right side of your course page.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. In the drop-down menu, select\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Backup<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Under\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Backup settings<\/span><\/span><\/em>, click the checkboxes to select or de-select the course content you want to backup.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. Click\u00a0<\/span>Next<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    7. Select the\u00a0<\/span>resources<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>activities\u00a0<\/span><\/b>you want to include in your backup from each topic section in your course.<\/span>
      \n\n\n\n
      NOTE:<\/strong> If you want to backup user data for your course, select the User data next to a topic section or resource activity.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n
    8. Click\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Next<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    9. Under\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Filename<\/span><\/span><\/em>, enter a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>file name<\/span><\/span>\u00a0for your backup, or keep the name automatically\u00a0<\/span><\/span>generated for your file.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    10. Under\u202f<\/span><\/span>Backup Settings<\/em>\u202f<\/span><\/span>and\u202f<\/span><\/span>Included items<\/span><\/span><\/em>, review the settings for your backup and the list of course content to be included in your file.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    11. Once you have finished reviewing your Backup settings, click\u202f<\/span><\/span>Perform Backup<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.\u202fWhen your file has finished loading, you will see the message\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u201cThe backup file was successfully created\u201d<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    12. To view or manage your backup files, click \u202f<\/span><\/span>continue<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    13. Click <\/span><\/span>the <\/span><\/span>Download <\/span><\/span><\/strong>link next to the backup that was created.<\/span><\/span> The file will be downloaded into your downloads folder on your computer as an .<\/span><\/span>mbz<\/span><\/span>\u00a0file<\/span><\/span><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      You now have an .mbz file of your course content that can be imported into Brightspace<\/a>.<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n

      <\/a><\/a>Importing a backup\u00a0<\/span><\/b>cuLearn<\/span><\/b>\u00a0file into Brightspace<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

      1. Log in to\u00a0Brightspace<\/a>\u00a0with your My杏吧原创One<\/em> credentials.<\/li>\n
      2. On the\u00a0Brightspace<\/em>\u00a0homepage, locate your course in one of the following ways:\n
          \n
        • \n
            \n
          • Click on the course tile under\u00a0the\u00a0My Courses\u00a0<\/em>widget.<\/li>\n
          • Click the\u00a0Course Selector Grid\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/i>and select the course from the drop-down menu. If you are enrolled in more than 20 courses, you can search for the course name using the search bar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
          • In the navbar, click <\/span>Content<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0 \"\"<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Click Table of Contents<\/strong> in the left sidebar.<\/li>\n
          • Click the <\/span>Import Course<\/span><\/b> button. <\/span>\"\"<\/span><\/li>\n
          • In the drop-down menu, s<\/span>elect <\/span><\/span>Import Course Package<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Upload<\/strong> your downloaded\u00a0<\/span><\/span>mbz<\/span><\/span><\/em> backup file of your cuLearn course from your downloads folder.<\/span><\/span>
            \n\n\n\n
            NOTE:<\/strong> You can upload files up<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to a maximum of 1 GB. For files over 1GB, create multiple\u00a0<\/span><\/span>smaller\u00a0<\/span><\/span>backup files to all be uploaded into Brightspace.<\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
            TIP:<\/strong> When you select your file to upload, the size will automatically appear to the right of the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>backup file<\/span><\/span>\u00a0name. This will indicate if you need to breakup your content into smaller backup files.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n
          • Click <\/span><\/span>Import All Components\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong>to import your course file, or click Advanced Options…<\/strong> to review and select individual course components\u00a0(for example, content, quizzes or discussions)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
            NOTE:<\/strong> If you import course components with names that already exist in the course, or you import multiple components with the same name, duplicate names appear; they are not overwritten. For example, if your course contains a discussion topic called\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>Exam Review<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and you import a course package that contains a discussion topic called\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>Exam Review<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>, your course will contain two topics called\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>Exam Review<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
