Instructors and TAs may want to export their D2L Brightspace classlist to record notes, to take attendance, or to organize grading outside of the learning management system. Exporting a Brightspace classlist is quick and simple. A class list can be exported to either .csv or Excel file formats. In Brightspace, a full list of students in the course can be exported via the Grades tool. Instructors are also able to download a full list of registered students directly from 杏吧原创 Central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong>There is no way to export a class list from the Classlist tool itself in Brightspace. The Grades tool is the only option within Brightspace for exporting the Classlist.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

To Export a Course Classlist<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Log into Brightspace<\/a>\u00a0using your\u00a0<\/span>My杏吧原创One<\/span><\/i>\u00a0credentials.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. On the\u00a0Brightspace<\/em>\u00a0homepage, locate your course in one of the following ways:\n
      \n
    • Select the course tile under the My Courses\u00a0<\/em>widget.<\/li>\n
    • Select the Course Selector Grid\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/i>and select the course from the drop-down menu. If you are enrolled in more than 20 courses, you can search for the course name using the search bar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • In the navbar, select Progress<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • In the drop-down menu, select\u00a0<\/span>Grades<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Select the Enter grades\u00a0<\/strong>tab.

    • Select Export<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Configure the export options:\n

      • Export Grade Items for:<\/em>\u00a0Select\u00a0All Users <\/strong>from the drop-down menu. You can also select Groups and choose a specific group to export.<\/li>\n
      • Key Field:<\/em>\u00a0Org Defined ID\u00a0<\/strong>is selected by default, meaning that the export will identify students by their 杏吧原创 Student ID. You can select username<\/em>, or\u00a0both<\/em>\u00a0to customize the export.<\/li>\n
      • Grade Values:<\/em> Deselect grade values, unless you also want the grades included. Points grade\u00a0<\/strong>is selected by default.<\/li>\n
      • User Details:<\/em>\u00a0Select any additional identification options you want to include in the export.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Scroll down to\u00a0Choose Grades to Export<\/em>, then select or deselect the\u00a0grade items<\/strong> you want to export.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\"Screenshot<\/li>\n
      • Select Export to CSV<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Export to Excel <\/strong>as your file download option.<\/li>\n
      • When the export is complete, select Download<\/strong>.
