For more information on role types and privileges in Brightspace, see <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/instructors\/roles-and-permissions-in-brightspace\/\">Roles and Permissions in Brightspace<\/a>. When viewing your course a learner (student), you can see the student view of course content, discussions, announcements, etc.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; background-color: #f5f5f5; border: 1px; border-style: solid; border-color: #dcdcdd; padding: 12px 12px 1px;\">\n<p><strong>NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong>For certain Brightspace tools you will need to use the &#8220;preview&#8221; feature to see the accurate student view. Role Switch will not provide an accurate student view for Grades or Quizzes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/instructors\/previewing-student-grades\/\">How to preview student grades<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/brightspace\/instructors\/creating-quizzes\/#quiz3\">How to preview a quiz<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Switch Your Role<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Log into <a href=\"https:\/\/brightspace.carleton.ca\/\">Brightspace<\/a> using your <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">My杏吧原创One<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0credentials.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233279&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>On the\u00a0<em>Brightspace<\/em>\u00a0homepage, locate your course in one of the following ways:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Select the course tile under the <em>My Courses\u00a0<\/em>widget.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <b>Course Selector Grid\u00a0<\/b><i><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/culearnsupport\/students\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screen-Shot-2020-11-02-at-8.15.40-PM.png\" width=\"22\" height=\"20\" data-imagetype=\"External\" \/>\u00a0<\/i>and select the course from the drop-down menu.
