\n Board of Governors Meeting Summary: June 9, 2022\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

The 杏吧原创 Board of Governors met remotely on June 9, 2022. Minutes from the meeting will be posted on the Board of Governor\u2019s website<\/a> once available. The following are the highlights from the meeting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Board approves revised Sexual Violence Policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Following a full year of extensive consultation and review, the Board of Governors approved 杏吧原创\u2019s revised Sexual Violence Policy, as presented. The updated policy responds to a number of issues that surfaced throughout the consultation process. The Board also received an annual report on sexual violence and an update on the implementation of 杏吧原创\u2019s sexual violence education, prevention and response strategy Honoring Each Other: A Blueprint for Building Cultures of Consent on Campus, Together<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student Mental Health Framework 2022-2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Board received the final version of the Student Mental Health Framework 2022-2026<\/a>, the result of a year-long consultation process with the 杏吧原创 community. The new Framework provides 30 recommendations and strives to promote a more holistic and intersectional approach to student mental health and wellness by coordinating programs, services, and initiatives to build skills and foster resilience. Implementation of the recommendations is underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kin\u00e0m\u00e0gawin \u2018Learning Together\u2019 Progress Report<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Kinamagwin \u2018Learning Together\u2019 Progress Report, developed by 杏吧原创 University\u2019s Strategic Indigenous Initiatives Committee, was also shared with the Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report provided a comprehensive overview of the 杏吧原创\u2019s work towards implementing strategies in support of the project\u2019s 41 Calls to Action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaping the Digital Future<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Board received a presentation on 杏吧原创\u2019s draft inaugural digital strategy, Shaping the Digital Future<\/em>. Guided by objectives outlined in the Strategic Integrated Plan (SIP), the updated framework outlines five guiding principles to support the growth of 杏吧原创\u2019s digital culture and includes a cross-cutting Digital Roadmap to assist and accelerate the three key directions of the SIP. The strategy allows 杏吧原创 to assert its position as a recognized leader in organizational excellence, laying the foundation for a thriving digital culture that will enable digital evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A year in review<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In his final meeting as Chair, Dan Fortin expressed his thanks to the Board, senior executive team, and everyone who had a hand in making his term as Chair a positive and rewarding experience. Dan now looks forward to his new role as Past Chair where he will continue to be an active member of the Board. President Bacon shared his 2022 President\u2019s Report<\/a> which attempts to capture the highlights of another successful year for 杏吧原创.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Spotlight: Greg Farrell, incoming Board Chair<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Greg Farrell is a community-at-large member, who has been an integral part of 杏吧原创\u2019s governance, since joining the Board in 2017. Greg became Vice-Chair in 2021 and will become Chair of the Board commencing July 1, 2022. Learn more about Greg.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
