The mechanics of animal behaviour, particularly hummingbird flight, could also offer insights for designing structures to prevent bird collisions and enhance the performance of flying devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dakin\u2019s previous research, published in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.science.org\/doi\/10.1126\/science.aao7104\"><em>Science<\/em><\/a>, revealed that larger hummingbird species excel at accelerating and making tight turns, challenging conventional wisdom about bird behaviour. \u201cWe do still have questions about that. We\u2019ve published one study on the comparison on these different hummingbird species.
