{"id":350,"date":"2020-09-08T08:30:39","date_gmt":"2020-09-08T12:30:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/applied-dynamics-lab\/?p=350"},"modified":"2020-09-02T14:56:22","modified_gmt":"2020-09-02T18:56:22","slug":"welcome-students-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/applied-dynamics-lab\/2020\/welcome-students-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to Oncoming Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are excited to welcome the new students joining the Applied Dynamics Laboratory as graduate students!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/applied-dynamics-lab\/people\/keely-gibb\/\">Keely Gibb<\/a> is beginning her Master of Applied Science as part of the Applied Dynamics Laboratory. Keely held a NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award through the summer, assisting with research on vibration in neonatal transport under the supervision of <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/mae\/profile\/robert-g-langlois\/\">Dr. Robert Langlois<\/a>. She is continuing to work on the neonatal patient transport project through developing a multibody model of the EMS stretcher to replicate the dynamics exhibited in physical full-vehicle testing.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/applied-dynamics-lab\/people\/daniel-kyrollos\/\">Daniel Kyrollos<\/a> is beginning his Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a specialization in Data Science. Daniel held a NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award through the summer, performing research assessing the impact of speed humps on ambulance ride quality under the supervision of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sce.carleton.ca\/faculty\/green\/green.php\">Dr. James Green<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/mae\/profile\/robert-g-langlois\/\">Dr. Robert Langlois<\/a>. Daniel also authored a <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/applied-dynamics-lab\/2020\/paper-acceptance-2\/\">paper<\/a> for the 7th International Conference of Control, Dynamic Systems, and Robotics (CDSR\u201920) during the summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are excited to welcome the new students joining the Applied Dynamics Laboratory as graduate students!
