I couldn\u2019t have done it without the support of the faculty and support staff.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Brian Mitchell, Criminology (2<sup>nd<\/sup> year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cI think the key is to surround yourself with positive people who influence you and help bring you up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lalla Maiga, Communication and Media Studies (3rd year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cMy highlight was the first year seminar. I met all of my friends there and it really grounded me in the communication program.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grace Girotte, Communication and Media Studies (3rd year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cA lot of my program involves writing and it\u2019s developed so much. My writing has improved and I have learned how to accept feedback. It\u2019s been really helpful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rebecca Sattaur, Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management (BPAPM) (3rd year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cWhenever I feel stressed, I tell myself, \u2018Do your best and trust that will be enough.\u2019 You have to believe in yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sam Taylor, Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management (BPAPM) (2nd year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to study this and when you are doing something you are interested in, the stress falls away because you care about it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Madison Venngopal, Law and Sociology (2nd year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cMy parents told me, \u2018Don\u2019t think outside the box because you have to understand the box.\u2019 You have to understand the issues first before you can change the world, and that\u2019s what I\u2019m doing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keean Nembhard, Bachelor of Global and International Studies (BGInS) (5th year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cIt\u2019s a lot of work, but if you truly love what you are doing, everything gets so much easier.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sabreen Sidhu, Economics (3rd year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to procrastinate when you don\u2019t have time to procrastinate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Silas Xuereb, Economics (graduated in 2019)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cI am planning to do graduate school and focus on solutions to income inequality.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jonathan Torell, Journalism (2nd year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cI chose electives that I enjoyed\u2014that helped me get through the tough courses last year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Justine Ricketts, Journalism (4th year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cI was balancing school work and a job, so I used timetables to block out the entire month. That\u2019s how I got everything done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Yusuf Yapici, Economics and Political Science (4th year)<br>\n<\/strong>\u201cI treat school like a 9 to 5 job: that\u2019s how I keep up with the work of a combined major.
