During this conference they had the opportunity to meet the UNCTAD Secretary General (Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi), the UN Envoy on Youth (Mr. Ahmed Allendawi) and the Canadian delegation (including Mr. Marc-Yves Bertin, Director General of International Economic Policy Bureau at Global Affairs Canada). The youth representatives were given an opportunity to share their ideas with global leaders and formally presented a declaration that included proposed policies on accountability, employment and education. Sanda and&nbsp; Efrem met people from all around the world and are working with contacts on future projects, including the forthcoming One Young World conference in Ottawa, and the development of a report on the youth perspective of the UNCTAD conference to the Government of Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sanda Ajzerle and Efrem Berhe attended the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development held in Nairobi, Kenya from July 17-22.
