This cohort will launch the AIReKEMA project forward in its initial year, producing valuable contributions to African Indigenous and refugee knowledge on the governance of borderlands and migratory flows in Africa.\u00a0<br><br><strong>Congratulations to the 2026 Fellows on their selection and receipt of funding to conduct their research! The successful fellows are:<\/strong><br>Ashiraf Mugalula<br>Eva Ann Wanjiki Chege<br>Evelyn Bayani<br>Gloria Ilivieda<br>Ismail Hussein Ismail<br>Johannes Bhanye<br>Jabulile H. Mzimela<br>John Narh<br>Leon Mwamba Tshimpaka<br>Mohamed Sallieu Barrie<br>Resty Nabaggala<br>Woledzi Delali Freedman<br><br>The research projects undertaken by this year\u2019s Fellows examine Indigenous and refugee knowledge systems and perspectives across a wide range of themes, including employment, climate change, community relations, gender, economics, citizenship and statelessness, governance, and conflict resolution.
