The Institute of African Studies warmly congratulates Emma Bider<\/strong> for being selected for the Provost Scholar Award! Emma is a fourth year African Studies\/Journalism student graduating with her Bachelors of Arts (Honours) and Bachelors of Journalism next month.<\/p>\n

Emma was one of ten students at 杏吧原创 selected for this inaugural award which is given in recognition of outstanding undergraduate student academics in research, community engagement, immersive learning, and\/or international activities. She\u00a0has enhanced her learning through many international activities, including an exchange to the Netherlands, a reporting trip to Macedonia, taking the African Studies Abroad trip to Rwanda<\/a> with Professor Allan Thompson, and doing a placement with Farm Radio International in Burkina Faso. Emma had these diverse and enriching international experiences while maintaining outstanding grades.<\/p>\n
