The regulations governing ACE can be found in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsoftheuniversity\/regulations-for-degree-students\/#academic-continuation-evaluation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section 3.2 of the Undergraduate Calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"academic-continuation-evaluation-ace\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Academic Continuation Evaluation (ACE)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ACE is a term-by-term assessment of the student\u2019s status in their degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The evaluation is based on the student\u2019s Overall CGPA, and checks whether the student is meeting the threshold for continuing in their degree. The table in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsoftheuniversity\/regulations-for-degree-students\/#minimum-cgpa-requirements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section 3.2.6 of the Undergraduate Calendar<\/a>&nbsp;details the minimum Overall CGPA required according to the student\u2019s degree and the number of credits completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Programs that include a Major CGPA still have minimum requirements for graduation, which can be found in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsoftheuniversity\/regulations-for-degree-students\/#graduation-cgpa-requirements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section 3.4.6 of the Undergraduate Calendar<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some programs have additional requirements that are assessed in ACE along with the Overall CGPA. These could include a Major CGPA, a Core CGPA, or minimum grade requirements for certain courses.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsoftheuniversity\/regulations-for-degree-students\/#additional-ace-information-for-certain-degrees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section 3.2.7 of the Undergraduate Calendar<\/a>&nbsp;has a list of programs with special ACE rules and details about how students are assessed in these programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"when-will-i-be-evaluated\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">When will I be evaluated?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The first ACE evaluation takes place when the student completes 5.5 credits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subsequent assessments take place at the end of every term in which the student completes a course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students in an Honours degree who have 15.50 or more credits complete will have their Major CGPA checked at the end of each term.
