Dr. Frances Abele, Academic Director of the 杏吧原创 Centre for Community Innovation, moderated an especially interesting panel titled: <em>Indigenous Policy and Governance: The Way Ahead?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This panel\u00a0reflected on\u00a0whether or not the political, legal, and programmatic gains made in the last 60 years have actually resulted in practical community improvements for First Nations, M\u00e9tis and Inuit peoples. The panel raised key questions, including: Is Aboriginal self-governance closer to becoming a reality today than it was in 1995, when the policy was first initiated?
