Internationally recognized as one of Canada\u2019s most prominent researchers in affordable housing and homelessness, Nick Falvo has a PhD in Public Policy from 杏吧原创 University.<\/p>\n
Prior to pursuing his PhD, he spent 10 years working on the front line with persons experiencing homelessness.<\/p>\n
While at 杏吧原创, Nick developed and taught one of Canada\u2019s only university-level courses on affordable housing and homelessness. He also led two research projects in Canada\u2019s North.<\/p>\n
From 2015 until 2019, Nick worked as Director of Research and Data at the Calgary Homeless Foundation.<\/p>\n
Fluently bilingual, he is Editor-in-Chief, North America, of the International Journal on Homelessness.<\/p>\n
Nick is the 2021 winner of the President\u2019s Medal for Outstanding Housing Research \u2014 the highest research honour given by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.<\/p>\n
