3ci Research Associate and PhD Candidate in the School of Public Policy and Administration, Sheena Kennedy Dalseg has been working as part of a team of university researchers, engaged Nunavut citizens, and representatives from the Government of Nunavut as well as Inuit organizations across Inuit Nunangat to support and facilitate efforts to develop a university in Canada’s Arctic.
This past March 18-19, the Government of Nunavut, Nunavut Tunngavik Inc., Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, and a group of ArcticNet researchers from ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University (Sheena and PhD Candidate, Canadian Studies, Kelly Black) Laval University (Thierry Rodon), and the University of Saskatchewan (Karla Jessen Williamson) came together to plan and co-host a workshop, which brought together key stakeholders to discuss and develop a roadmap for the creation of a university in Inuit Nunangat.
